Woman charged over the death of Baby M in Hampshire

A WOMAN has been charged over the death of a newborn baby girl who was found in a park in Hampshire.

The child, who has only been named Baby M, was discovered on May 19, 2017 in Manor Park, Aldershot.

Hampshire Constabulary have now announced that a woman in her 20s has been charged in connection with the death.

In a post on Facebook, Aldershot Police said: ‘An update regarding Op Metre.

‘Yesterday (July 7) following advice from the crown prosecution service a female in her 20s has been charged in connection with the death of a new born baby girl found in Manor park Aldershot.

‘When we have further information we will update you.’

A post-mortem examination found that Baby M had suffered multiple head injuries.
