Woman disqualified from driving after crashing into ditch in Barton on Sea

A court heard Lisa Parrish, 26, of Sway Road in Tiptoe, Lymington, was drunk when she crashed her blue Honda CR-V into a ditch off Barton Common Road in Barton on Sea on July 15 last year.

When police arrived she was unsteady on her feet and aggressive towards officers, kicking out at one of them. A breath test showed a reading of 73 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath which is more than twice the legal limit of 35.

At Southampton Magistrates Court on July 31, she pleaded guilty to one charge of drink driving and one charge of assaulting an emergency worker. She was given a three year disqualification and also fined £162.
