Woman fined over housing

A WOMAN has been fined for not licensing a house of multiple occupancy.

Rajia Khanam, 43, of Adair Road, Eastney, admitted not licensing 34 Bath Road, Southsea, on August 7 last year.

She was fined £120 with a £20 victim surcharge to pay.

Portsmouth magistrates ordered her to pay £600 costs to Portsmouth City Council.

The authority requires certain properties to be licensed following a crackdown on conditions in housing in the city.
