D-Day 80 in pictures: People flock to Southsea to soak in the atmosphere and witness the Red Arrows flyover

Hundreds of people headed to Southsea without tickets to be close to the D-Day 80 commemoration.

While the majority of the action happened inside the walls of the D-Day 80 commemoration event, it did not stop members of the public flocking to Southsea Common to be close to the action. Those that went down were treated to a number of displays including the Red Arrows flyover and a saluting frigate.
