Portsmouth-based HMS Dragon helps boat in distress Weymouth Bay
A TYPE 45 destroyer, out on a training exercise, came to the aid of a boat in distress at the weekend.
Sailors from Portsmouth-based HMS Dragon helped the crew of a yacht that came into difficulty after a lobster pot wrapped around its propeller shaft, off Lulworth Cove in Dorset.
The 27-year-old from Southampton said: ‘I felt a huge sense of job satisfaction and achievement in being able to help the people on the yacht and allow them to continue on their way.’
