Denmead Community Centre holds open day

NOSTALGIA will be aplenty when a community centre has an open day.

Denmead Community Centre is holding an open day on Friday, April 15, when there will be the unveiling of a collage.

Manager Bob Bainbridge explained: ‘During the refurbishment of the main hall, a number of items were found from the time when the community centre was the village school. Some of these have been made into a collage, which in the company of former pupils will be unveiled by Councillor Patricia Stallard during the course of the morning.’

There will be guided tours of the revamped facilities for those seeking a new venue to hold classes, groups, societies or business events. The event takes place from 11am to 1pm.
