The civic offices, Ferneham Hall and Westbury Manor, were lit up pink last Saturday to mark the start of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Mayor of Fareham Councillor Connie Hockley, pictured with Marian Parfitt from Breast Cancer Haven, said: ‘Having lost two dear friends to the disease, breast cancer awareness is an issue close to my heart. That’s why I chose the Breast Cancer Haven in Titchfield as one of my mayoral charities for the year.

‘I’m delighted therefore that we have supported it in this way, it’s a fantastic opportunity to help spread the message.’

Breast Cancer Awareness Month lasts the whole of October.
