Fareham shoppers donate funds for children's charity mascot

A SHOPPING centre has raised almost £700 for a children's charity.

Fareham Shopping Centre donated a cheque for £670 to Marvels and Meltdowns '“ its charity of the year.

The funds were raised through a variety if fundraising activities from October 2017 to June this year. The charity provides autism family support.

Fareham Shopping Centre's manager, Mike Taylor, said: '˜We are proud to have worked in conjunction with Marvels and Meltdowns to help raise as much money and awareness as possible for such a commendable cause.

'˜As always, we are amazed by the generosity of our shoppers and encourage them to continue their support into the future.'

So far the funds raised have contributed to the creation of a new mascot to help promote awareness about the charity. 

The team behind the charity said they are truly grateful to Mike and all the team at the centre and would like to thank all the generous shoppers that donated.
