Sheldon is a two-year-old rottweiler who is currently in the care of RSPCA Stubbington Ark. The gorgeous dog has been described as a ‘big playful lump’ who is a joy to be around - and he is now searching for the forever home he deserves.
Sheldon is fully toilet trained, can be left in a crate for two hours and has become very playful with his toys since being in a foster home. He is an affectionate and loyal dog who is looking for a home where there are no other pets or children under the age of 18.
The RSPCA Stubbington Ark said: “Our gorgeous boy Sheldon is a big playful lump and a joy to be around.
“After not being exposed to much of the outside world before coming into us, understandably Sheldon can be worried by strangers and some dogs. Sheldon has been living in a foster home recently and this has allowed us to learn a lot about his behaviour.”
Sheldon learns quickly and he has recently been learning to wear a muzzle. He would be happy in a quiet home where his new owners are able to dedicate a lot of time to him.
The RSPCA Stubbington Ark added: “He is good with his people he knows and makes friends quickly but he can be reactive to strangers and can sometimes bark and lunge.
“He is a big boy so would need someone strong enough to hold onto him and who is prepared to make space from people when needed.”
Sheldon cannot be rehomed to the PO9 area and he will need to have check ups every 6 months and a heart scan annually because of a stage four heart murmur.
