Gosport community safety event returns

CHILDREN can meet one of their favourite television stars.

Safer Gosport Community’s event returns on Saturday, March 18 in and around Gosport Town Hall.

It will include kids’ entertainment, music and a chance to see emergency vehicles up close.

And between 11am and 2pm, there will also be a chance to meet a character from Nickelodeon programme PAW Patrol.

There will also cycle safety advice on offer, with D-locks sold at a discount.

And there will be plenty of free advice on offer on how residents can help themselves and their loved ones.

Young people will also have a chance to get involved the volunteer police cadets and guests will include Gosport MP Caroline Dinenage and Hampshire Police and Crime Commissioner Michael Lane.

Councillor John Beavis, chairman of the partnership, said: ‘This is a free community event where people can come along and meet some of the many organisations helping to keep them safe.

‘As well as information and advice, we will be showcasing some of the great opportunities available for young people to get involved in local projects. If people have a particular need or concern, there’s face-to-face expert advice.’
