Thanks to the generosity of Taylor Wimpey, the group have added a 40ft portacabin to their home in St Vincent College, in Gosport.

The extra space will be used as a social area.

Chairman Harry Ansell said: ‘It is wonderful that we have been able to add to our cabin.

‘The more members we have the merrier. We never expected to be so popular but we are nearly at 100 members now.

‘I think that shows how important this group is for the community.’

The Men’s Shed started in Australia and gives older men somewhere to complete projects and socialise.
