The Malthouse Apartments in Royal Clarence Marina, Gosport, had its roof ripped off in March during Storm Katie.

But it is only just being replaced almost six months later.

And a new problem has been found with the under-floor heating on the top floor.

Residents have also had to live with water damage inside their homes during the period.

Richard Luchford, who lives at number 25, said: ‘It seems like there is a lack of coherence in what is happening.

‘It has taken a long time for everything to happen.

‘I’ve been referred to different people when I’ve tried to ring up and ask what is going on.

‘I’m living in London while repairs are happening and I’m expecting to come home to my floor being up.’

Philippa Dickinson, secretary of Royal Clarence Yard Housing Association, said: ‘We completely understand the frustration expressed by the residents.

‘Berkeley Homes prides itself as one of the top housing associations in the country and residents expect the best service available, which hasn’t been provided.’

Berkeley Homes says it has been liaising with owners and chasing the insurers and loss adjusters to organise the completion of the works to fix the roof of the Malthouse apartments.

Chris Gilbert, managing director, said: ‘As soon as the incident occurred a temporary roof repair was undertaken.

‘Recently a concern over an electrical spur has been raised and work is ongoing to identify any potential fault.’
