From punk music to dog shows, there is so much going on at the event in Leesland Park, on September 17.

Parents will be able to seek out a bargain at the stalls while the children have fun bungee trampolining, zorbing and having their faces painted.

It is being organised by the Friends of Leesland Park.

Secretary Philip Sandall said: ‘Once again we hope there will be something for everyone and we look forward to welcoming visitors, bands and vendors alike to Leesland’s little green oasis.

‘ParkFest 16 has at its heart a rich mix of live music, with everything from the Southsea Skiffle Orchestra – fresh from Victorious festival – to local punk exponents The Asylum Seekers.

‘ParkFest 16 will also feature some special music and activities for the under fives, thanks to Moo Music.’

Paws in the Park is an opportunity for the pet pooches to strut their stuff.

Philip added: ‘We’re delighted that a local gym will be present offering visitors a fitness challenge.

‘These activities will be supported by some traditional candy floss, a rather special candy cart and a face painter.

‘Mums and dads will be able to seek out a bargain from the numerous stalls when not chilling out to the music, or perhaps enjoy a beer from our real ale bar.

‘So please do come along and enjoy a great day out with your family, friends and dog if you have one.’
