Havant badminton club given charitable boost after donation

A BADMINTON club has been handed a cheque for more than Â£600 by a charitable organisation.

The Havant Junior Badminton Club was presented with the donation for £615 last month by Mike Tudor of the Havant Lions in front of 30 club members at a special ceremony.

The donation will help to bolster the club’s sporting resources.

Mr Tudor said: ‘The club got in touch with us, asking if we could do something to help them out.

‘So we stepped in and provided the funds, which we are told will be used to buy new rackets and shuttlecocks.’

He added: ‘They are a tremendous club and it was great to be able to offer them some help.’
