'Large' Drayton fire put out by Cosham and Havant crews

FIRE crews were mobilised to a domestic fire in Drayton this morning.

Teams from Cosham and Havant arrived to tackle the large blaze between two houses in Solent Road.

A fire which started outside a shed spread to one of the properties and threatened to affect the other house.

After the call was received at 2.24am, all occupants were evacuated from the property and three pumps were used to put out the blaze.

With all persons accounted for, crews extinguished the fire.

They also fitted additional smoke alarms and provided home fire safety advice and reassurance to the neighbours.
