Microchipyour dogfor free inHavant

Havant dog owners can get their pets microchipped for free before it becomes compulsory.

Havant Borough Council is offering this service on April 2 and 3 from 9.30am-4pm at The Plaza, Civic Centre Road in Havant.

Microchipping involves a tiny computer chip being implanted into the dog, with a specific identification number, that can be read with a scanner to identify your pet throughout its life.

The chips help to reunite lost dogs with their owners.

It will be compulsory from April 6.
