Now Mrs Drummond is urging others to help raise the cash by donating and wearing a Marie Curie daffodil pin.

‘Marie Curie nurses do incredible work by giving people comfort and reassurance at a frightening time,’ she said.

‘But more than that, the charity allows people nearing the end of their lives to be at home where they are most comfortable.

‘I want to thank Marie Curie nurses for all that they do.’
