Music and magic will help new good cause

A NIGHT of comedy, music and magic will hopefully help to raise a spellbinding amount for one of the area's newest good causes this week.

Helping Hands Portsmouth – launched in December to provide support to the city’s homeless communities – is holding a fundraiser on Friday.

Held at the Royal Naval Old Comrades’ Club, in Lake Road, Landport, organisers hope the evening will raise £500 to buy new sleeping bags and blankets for the homeless.

Taking place from 7pm to 11pm, the fundraiser will feature live music, a raffle, magician, mini auction, a DJ and a photobooth.

Children can attend for free. Adult tickets are £3 and are available on the door on the night or by pre-booking.

To book, search ‘Helping Hands Portsmouth’ on Facebook or call Billy Shannon on 07769 819559.
