It is now easier for us to access adult content than ever before.

A video is easy to view – just a Google search away on a mobile we may have with us all the time.

And those who frequently view these images are often oblivious to the consequences it can have. Watching porn on a regular basis can become an addiction. It can have a psychological effect on us.

The way we view others can change in the real world, as we see people as sexual objects first, rather than whole people. Our relationships with our loved ones can also suffer.

Porn is a problem in our society, and that’s why our church wants to support those who are caught in pornography and to point a way towards hope, healing and freedom.

It is also passionate about revealing the truth about the negative consequences it can have.

We’re hosting an event from 7pm-8.30pm on Saturday, April 23 at City Life Church, entitled The Naked Truth. It will give you an overview of pornography’s shift from the sex shop to the smartphone.  We hope this down-to-earth, informative and inspiring event will also educate and equip you to have a practical response to combating porn.

Ian Henderson, the founder of Naked Truth, an organisation that holds education, awareness and recovery programmes, will be speaking. His organisation has not only transformed the lives of many individuals, but has also restored relationships.

The same event will also take place at Church of the Good Shepherd in Crookhorn Lane, Crookhorn, from 9.30am-11am on the same day. Tickets for both events cost £5 on the door.

You can see more information about it on nakedtruthproject.com.
