Pensioner dies after Fareham garage fire '˜explosion'
A PENSIONER has died after a fire in Fareham.
The man, 81, died following the fire at a garage in Highlands Road, Fareham on Sunday at 4.10pm.
Police said the force received a report of an explosion.
Hampshire police confirmed the pensioner died at 12.45am on Monday.
He had been airlifted to Southampton General Hospital.
A force spokeswoman said the blaze is being investigated but it is not being treated as suspicious.
