Disappointment for England fans in Portsmouth as team crashes out of the World Cup after Argentina defeat

England fans suffer World Cup heartbreak with late semi-final defeat by Argentina

It was an evening of highs and lows as England crashed out of the World Cup this evening (July 15) following a defeat to Argentina.

We joined fans in Albert Road, Portsmouth, to watch the semi final in a tense game in Atlanta which saw England take the lead after a second-half goal from Anthony Gordon. But two late goals from the reigning world cup champions sealed England’s fate, much to the disappointment of fans with the final score 2-1.

Many have gathered in Albert Road to commiserate, with some taking the ultimate revenge by burning an Argentina shirt in the street.
