While visiting clients during her job as a domiciliary care worker for Aim Homecare, Ellie Pill from Fareham has noticed plenty of colourful artwork around the local area.

She wanted to share the joy she has when seeing all the pictures, and put a call out for the community to contribute to an uplifting video montage of artwork from people of all ages.

Ellie, 24, said: ‘I asked people to send in their pictures to me as I said I would love to make the video and the response was fantastic, with not even being able to fit everyone's work in.

‘The reason behind the video was to show everyone how many pieces of artwork there were around the local area supporting our NHS and key workers, also for people who may not be leaving the house due to this can also now see it.’

Ellie said: ‘I had such a brilliant response. People have really loved it, which I’m glad about because it’s just uplifting.

‘It shows a community spirit that seemed to only be shown in times of darkness so I really hope it carries on long after this is all over.

‘I wanted to make people happy in these horrible times and I hope I have done so by making the video and people enjoying it.’

Ellie is also a second year paramedic science student at the University of Portsmouth, which she absolutely loves and is missing working on the ambulances.

‘I really hope people start to appreciate things and see what a gem the NHS is,’ Ellie added.

‘It’s there whenever you need it and it’s free of charge, I hope everyone can see how good it really is.’
