Fareham Community Lottery to start this year to help groups impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic

A NEW lottery will start this year to help support charities hit hard by the Covid-19 pandemic.

One Community is launching the Fareham Community Lottery which will give residents the chance to win cash prizes, including a top prize of £25,000, and support charities.

The organisations signed up so far that will benefit include Stop Domestic Abuse, Swanwick Lions Club and The Crafty Makery.

Tickets will be available from February 9 for the first draw on March 13 and 50 percent per £1 ticket purchased will go to the charities.

Chief executive of One Community, Jean Roberts-Jones said: ‘In these challenging times it is exciting to be able to offer a positive, simple to access new service for local groups to increase their income and for local people to support such good causes.’
