Fareham neighbours scoop £1,000 each after People's Postcode Lottery win

NEIGHBOURS in Fareham are celebrating after scooping a hefty cash prize after playing the People’s Postcode Lottery.

A trio of residents won £1,000 each when PO14 1TD was named the winner of the lottery’s daily prize on Monday, January 3.

The lucky postcode matches up with addresses off the A27 near Fareham College, between Cleveland Drive and Silver Birch Avenue.

People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador, Danyl Johnson, said: ‘What a way to start the week. I’m sure this news has really made the day for our winners in Fareham.’

The victory follows wins equalling more than £42,000 in Havant, Fareham, Portsmouth and Gosport over the past year.

Players of the People’s Postcode Lottery have raised more than £500m for thousands of charities in Britain and beyond, with at least 32 per cent of ticket sales going to the good causes.

Organisers said this win was promoted by Oxfam, which has received more than £84.m in funding from the game.

It costs £10 to play the People’s Postcode Lottery and winning postcodes are announced every day.
