FIREFIGHTERS were called out to two incidents involving disposable barbecues on Hayling Island seafront yesterday evening.

The good weather attracted people to the destination but resulted in fire crews being called out and issuing advice on using barbecues after the items were left dumped on the beach.

Hayling Island fire station posted on Twitter: ‘Two calls this evening involving throw away BBQs.

‘Fire safety advice given to BBQ users along the seafront.’
