POLICE were left scratching their heads after goats were seen ‘running amok’ down roads in Titchfield - before mysteriously appearing back in their field.

A pack of goats stormed the village streets leaving locals shocked earlier today.

Officers were called to attend the unusual call-out but were unable to locate the adventurous animals - before they were later discovered in their sanctuary.

Fareham police tweeted: ‘#FarehamEastNHPT were out in Titchfield earlier today after reports of some escaped goats running amok on the roads and in the town.

‘However, by the time we arrived, the goats seemed to have sorted themselves out and are now back in their field.’

Below the tweet, a picture shows a police car down a street with the goats nowhere to be seen.

It is not known how the goats escaped.
