In a post on GoFundMe, the shop said: ‘As some of you may be aware we had quite a tragic fire in the shop last night resulting in us having to close down for the foreseeable future.

‘As Frydays, we do what we can to help out the local community including the homeless, local care homes and our loyal regular customers. We give food to the local homeless and we also do deals and discounts for the local residential homes who we will do anything for.

‘Without you and our loyal customers we wouldn’t be able to be where we are now and many of the local community are devastated by this tragedy.
