Gosport MP congratulates school

AN MP has congratulated a school in her constituency for its performance.

Bay House School in Gosport gained the best ‘Progress 8’ score in Hampshire after this summer’s GCSEs.

The new measure is based on the progress the students have made since their end of primary school tests, as opposed to schools being rated on the percentage of students who achieve five A* to C GCSE grades.

The excellent progress made by all pupils, including those in receipt of the Pupil Premium is testament to the hard work of staff and pupils and the innovative, ambitious approach of the leadership team.’
