Hampshire golfers end up in close encounter with bee swarm on fairway
At Rowlands Castle Golf Club, a swarm appeared on the 10th fairway on the evening May 20, much to the surprise of players.
The swarm was protecting the queen bee, which was resting en route to finding a new home.

Assistant general manager, Tom Robson, says the swarm had left within 24 hours.
He said: ‘It was our course marshall who first spotted them in the evening.
‘We’ve had swarms before, but never anything of this size – it was enormous.
