Havant firefighter issues warning after kitchen blaze

FIREFIGHTERS from Havant are warning people about the dangers of leaving cooking unattended.

The warning comes after two appliances were deployed from Havant at 12.30pm today to tackle a kitchen fire in a house on Swanmore Road.

Firefighters had to remove the oven, which had been the source of the fire, after it was left unattended.

Crew manager Kavanagh said: ‘This is why it is important not to leave cooking unattended and to always check your smoke alarms.’

No one was injured in the fire.
