Havant firefighters break into home to rescue pensioner after fall

FIREFIGHTERS were forced to break into a vulnerable pensioner’s home to rescue him.

The elderly man had collapsed inside his house in Acer Way, Denvilles, in the early hours of the morning.

Paramedics attended the scene but were unable to enter the property and called upon firefighters for a helping hand.

A crew from Havant was dispatched to the scene at about 2.30am.

The team entered the house where paramedics treated the man.
