It has been a tough year for everyone and the love of a special mum has helped so many of us through these difficult times.

There are also those who have been unable to be with their mums for a year because of shielding or lockdown restrictions.

And let’s not forget the many mums who have added the role of home teacher to their many skills.

So, this year we are giving you THREE ways you can show your love for your mum ahead of Mother’s Day on Sunday, March 14. You can:

:: Send your mum a public message of love and thanks that we will print in the newspaper

:: Send us a short video message (no longer than 20 seconds) to your mum that we will put on our website for her and everyone else to see

:: Send us a selfie of you and your mum that we will publish on our website before Mother’s Day

To send a written message, all you need to do is fill in this form and we will do the rest. Just tell us your message in 50 words or less, who it is for and who it is from.

Please ensure you use full names – not nicknames – and include your contact details. We will not be able to publish any message sent without this information.

Once we have the written messages, we will then publish them in the last edition of The News before Mother’s Day.

The deadline for Mother’s Day messages is 11pm on Thursday, March 4.

If you are sending a video or selfie, please include your mum’s name and your name and send them to [email protected].

Please remember, it doesn’t matter how old you or your mum are – this is for everyone.

So, don’t miss this chance to say a public “thank you”, “love you” or “miss you” to that special mum in your life.
