Steve Dymond, a 63-year-old machine operator, is reported to have been the guest who died after filming an episode of the Jeremy Kyle Show.

She also said that he had failed a lie-detector test while recording the episode, which will remain unaired.

Neighbour speaks of ‘shock’ after his death

A neighbour of Ms Callaghan in Gosport, who wished to remain anonymous, has spoken about Mr Dymond’s death.

They added: ‘He lived here the last two or three months, they seemed happy, they were always friendly.’

Court warrant was issued for Mr Dymond

Mr Dymond, who was a grandfather, was due to appear before magistrates after he failed to pay more than £4,300 in fines relating to two offences which date back to 1997.

Court staff have revealed a warrant was out for his arrest at the time of his death as he missed a court hearing in February this year fixed in order to settle his unpaid fine.

Politicians call for ITV to axe show for good

Senior politicians have called on the broadcaster to end Jeremy Kyle Show permanently.

Tory MP Charles Walker, a vice-chairman of the all-party parliamentary group on suicide and self-harm prevention, told the Daily Mail: ‘On reflection, ITV would be best advised just to stop it. It's a very, very unattractive TV show and I'm surprised it's gone on so long.’

ITV took show off air to protect it

Leaked emails show that ITV made the decision to take the Jeremy Kyle Show off the air because it is ‘the best way’ to protect it.

Dame Carolyn McCall, the broadcaster’s boss, sent an email to all staff about the decision.
