Unhappy with her weight, Jordie Rolfe joined Slimming World last year after trying diets and personal training and not seeing any results.
Fast forward 60 weeks and 28-year-old Jordie is 7st 11lbs down and has just been voted her slimming group’s Woman of the Year and is in the running for the national accolade.

She said: ‘I was really unhappy, I was unfit and I couldn’t even walk up the stairs without getting out of breath.
‘I used to go to bed thinking can I just be skinny when I wake up? I got to the point where I got sick of looking at myself in the mirror. Going out shopping would fill me with dread.
‘I went into the group and just cried, I suddenly felt there was somewhere I didn’t have to hide and feel ashamed because people were in the same place as me.’

Jordie, now a size 10 to 12, said: ‘You see things in the media and think “that’s them doing that, I wouldn’t be able to do that”.
‘It’s completely brought out my confidence which I haven’t seen since I was 16. I used to care what people thought of me because I didn’t think nicely of myself. I love myself again so now I don’t care what people think of me.’
The latest development for Jordie is that she was voted Woman of the Year in her group, run by consultant Lea Wood.

Lea added: ‘Jordie is just phenomenal! It's been an absolute pleasure watching her transform before our eyes, not just as her body shrinks, but as her confidence grows.’
