Kings Theatre announces new show featuring top musical stars - here's how to get tickets

RENOWNED musical stars will pay homage to iconic numbers from the stage and screen at a new show at the Kings Theatre in Southsea.

X-Factor winner Joe McElderry, Britain's Got Talent winners Collabro and BBC Over the Rainbow finalist, Sophie Evans, will all feature in Love at the Musicals on Saturday, May 23.

The show will feature some of the biggest musical theatre love songs of all time, backed by a live orchestra.

Numbers from The Greatest Showman, Les Misérables, Phantom of the Opera and West Side Story will all feature, alongside many others.

The show is produced by Lambert Jackson Productions.

Jamie Lambert, show producer and Collabro member, said: ‘Lambert Jackson are thrilled to be bringing this incredible line-up to such a beautiful theatre.

‘The show has been such a success already we felt we had to take it to new audiences, so we are really looking forward to performing to the people of Portsmouth.'

The show’s announcement comes after the Kings Theatre revealed the line-up of a star-studded variety gala it will host on March 22.

West End star Brian Conley will headline the event, with appearances from Eastenders' Lorraine Stanley, Ben Ofoedu of Phats & Small and Only Fools and Horses mainstay and Kings Theatre patron John Challis, famed for his role as Boycie.
