Lifeboat attends report of person in the water at Gosport

LIFEBOAT teams responded to a report of a person in the water near Gosport Pier earlier today.

The coastguard received the report at 7.53pm this evening.

Members of the public were nearby.

The person was said to have been a few metres into the water, and was brought back to the shore where they were met with an ambulance crew.
