Portsmouth’s own Demi Jones and her partner Luke M have come in third place after a public vote.

In the final day at the villa in South Africa the couples composed heartfelt messages to each other before taking part in Love Island prom.

Host Laura Whitmore announced earlier in the episode that the final was dedicated to former host Caroline Flack, who died last weekend.

Demi Jones, who is a Cosham native, was also crowned winner of the funniest moment in the series for her trip.

Love Island will be back for another series in its traditional summer slot later this year.
