Demi and partner Luke Mabbott were serenaded by a string orchestra and sipped champagne on their lakeside date – and Luke proposed a seaside date in the future.

The Redcar resident said he planned to visit Demi in her home town ‘a lot,’ which left her delighted and a little surprised.

She said: ‘You will come down to Portsmouth?

Luke said: ‘I do see a future with you.’

The romance of the moment wasn’t lost on Demi, a former style adviser in Mint Velvet in Gunwharf Quays.

The 21-year-old said said: ‘It feels like we’re getting married.

Luke replied: ‘I knew you were going to say that.’

But the heating engineer admitted to the other boys in the villa that he couldn’t deny the romance of his time away with Demi.

He said: ‘It was probably one of the most romantic dates I have ever had – it was lush.’

And Demi said she ‘couldn’t have asked for better’ when it came to her time away with Luke.

It comes after her ill-fated relationship with Nas Majeed, who she initially coupled with – until a stay at Casa Amour saw him return hand in hand with new arrival Eva Zapico.

But Demi has come to realise her and her former partner ‘were not compatible,’ unlike her budding relationship with Luke.

She told him: ‘We are the same person.’

The episode ended with a talent show, seeing the former University of Winchester graduate – who has a degree in Archeology and History – showing off her ‘geek chic’ – donning a lab coat and quizzing the other islanders on ancient Roman history.
