Love Island: Southampton man George Day interested to get to know Portsmouth's Demi Jones

George Day from Southampton will enter Love Island soon along with five other men and six women as the ITV2 show tests the couples with the infamous Casa Amor – a second villa that sees the original couples split up and new contestants sent in to test their loyalties.

George, a 27-year-old estate agent, describes himself as spicy, funny and a gentleman.

Before entering the show he said: ‘My head and my eyes are wandering a bit but I do fancy Paige, Siannise and Jess and I want to find out more about Demi.

‘I do get dates from Instagram now, girls will react to my posts and stories. Tinder was becoming a full time job, it does get addictive but I wasn’t getting a lot out of it so I turned to Instagram.

‘I’m also confident on nights out so I will approach someone who I fancy but everyone knows everyone in Southampton so I want to venture out a bit.’

Demi Jones, from Cosham, entered the show on Monday and has coupled up with Nas Majeed. The pair have proved popular on social media and viewers are hoping the Casa Amor twist doesn’t see the couple get tempted by the new contestants.

The 21-year-old former Springfield School pupil was chosen by Nas during Friday’s recoupling.

In his speech, he said: ‘She is a bundle of fun and energy.

‘She has changed my experience for the better and I am excited to see where it goes.

‘So the girl I want to couple up with is… Demi.’

Love Island is a dating show that airs daily at 9pm on ITV2.
