A man has died after falling ‘seriously unwell’ in Portsmouth.

Emergency services rushed to a property in Eastern Road last night, with an air ambulance landing at the nearby Milton Park.

Police and paramedics also attended the scene.

A 50-year-old man was taken to hospital but later died.

A spokesman for Hampshire Constabulary said: ‘We were called at 9.04pm last night (12 February) to assist the ambulance service after a man was found seriously unwell at an address in Eastern Road.

‘The 50-year-old man was taken to hospital and was later pronounced dead.

‘The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared for the Coroner.

‘The man’s next of kin are aware.’

Eyewitnesses and flight trackers showed the that one of Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance's helicopters had landed at Milton Park last night.
