Man treated for smoke inhalation after Paulsgrove fire

A MAN needed medical treatment after firefighters were called to tackle a fire at a property in Paulsgrove.

Fire crews were deployed at 12.20pm with two fire appliances being sent from Cosham and one from Portchester. A Fire Service spokeswoman said ‘a small fire was smothered by firefighters’.

The incident took place at Withington Close and the fire is said to have been caused by a cigarette.

The male house occupant had to be treated at the scene for smoke inhalation and there are no reports of anyone else in the house or any other injuries.
