Man's body is found in burning car

Formal identification has yet to take place with a file being prepared for the coroner following the vehicle blaze in Shop Lane, Bursledon, at around 8pm.
Police said they were not treating the death as suspicious.
Firefighters, including a unit from Hightown Fire Station, attended the scene as they battled flames in the private vehicle that was ‘well alight’, according to Hants Fire Control.

Hide AdA police spokesman said: ‘The body of a man was found in a vehicle in Shop Lane, Bursledon.
‘We can confirm that the vehicle was on fire.
‘The death is not being treated as suspicious, and a file is being prepared for the coroner.
‘Formal identification of the man inside the vehicle has not been completed at this time.’
A spokeswoman for Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service said: ‘Firefighters from St Mary’s and Hightown were called at 7:57pm last night to Shop Lane.
