Matthew Bone: Missing Waterlooville man's family 'not giving up' as charity walk marks two years since he went missing

LOVED ones of a Waterlooville man who went missing two years ago say they ‘are not giving up’ on him.

The heartfelt message from Matthew Bone's family came as more than 40 supporters joined them for the March for Matt on Sunday.

The event was held in aid of the charity Missing People and marked the second anniversary since Matt disappeared in Malvern, Worcestershire on March 9, 2018, aged 26.

Despite multiple reported sightings to police, he has not been seen since.

The March for Matt went from Old Winchester Hill, near Warnford, through the Meon Valley, taking in countryside beauty spots Matt used to enjoy.

His sister, Katie, 26, said: 'It's completely overwhelming and heartwarming to see that many people come out to support Matt's cause.

‘This is such a hard time of year for our family, especially with the realisation nothing has changed and we're no further with finding him.

‘Our feelings change on a daily basis, some days we think “I’m going to find him” and others we think “how long is this going to go on for?”’

The walk raised £935 for Missing People, which has continued to raise the profile of Matt’s cause since he went missing.

‘Katie added: ‘We’re marking a milestone, but it’s not a happy one.

‘Raising money for the charity which as been so supportive gives it a positive spin.

‘We're committed to finding Matt and we are not giving up on him. We don’t want people to forget about him.’
