'Miracle' as lost budgie is returned to find new friends at Stamshaw home after 4 days missing
and live on Freeview channel 276
When seven-month-old blue budgie Icy flew out of the window of her new Stamshaw home last week, Anna Janusz and her family were devastated and put out a call on social media and in The News for people to keep their eyes peeled.
After four days out in the streets, Icy was spotted by a young girl from Milton, who took her home and contacted Anna to reunite the bird-lover and her pet - who was in for a shock.

Hide AdAnna, 33, said: ‘A little girl was walking in Milton and my budgie was on the floor, so the little girl took her home. Someone recognised it and messaged me.
‘This is now a funny story because now I have three budgies! I thought she wouldn’t survive the weather, and I still had one week holiday so we decided to buy budgies and we didn’t want one budgie because I know Icy gets lonely.
‘She wanted to go to her cage but in her cage were two budgies! She’s very weak so I’m giving her food and water. She’s eating and drinking but she’s very tired, she looks very good. I think she just needs rest.’
New pets Kiwi and Sunny have been adjusting to their home, with Icy being kept apart in a separate cage while she recovers.

Anna told The News: ‘I think my budgie will be very famous now! I have been in shock. When my budgie saw me she jumped on me and I could even touch her back which she’s never let me do before.
‘I’m so happy how many people have a heart for animals in Portsmouth - the power of love and the power of social media is amazing.
‘If you have lost your pets never give up and keep believing. I’m really thankful to everyone, this is a miracle.’
