Portsmouth firefighters tackle M27 bus blaze

THERE have been long delays on the M27 as firefighters have been tackling a bus which was on fire.

Traffic was held as firefighters tackled the blaze which was on the hard shoulder of the westbound carriageway between junction 12 for the M275 and junction 11 for Fareham.

The incident caused a 4.5-mile tailback with delays of up to an hour. While lane three has now been cleared there are still long delays.

Police and the ambulance service were also in attendance while fire crews battled to extinguish the blaze.
