POLICE have charged a man over drink driving, following a collision on the M27 that saw a car drive down the motorway on just three wheels.

In a post on social media, officers said they stopped a blue BMW that collided with the central reservation of the M27 between junctions 11 and 12, before the vehicle continued to drive down the carriageway with just three wheels intact at around 3.10am on Sunday morning.

In the social media post, a representative said: ‘(The vehicle) collided with the centeral reservation before driving on three wheels down the M27 between J12 and J11. #ItsNotWorthTheRisk’

Thomas Walden, 39, of Knox Road, Portsmouth was charged with driving a motor vehicle with alcohol level above the limit.

He will appear at Portsmouth Magistrates Court on November 7.
