Singers from Encore Choirs, led by North End singing teacher Josh Robinson, are set to record their second charity performance – and anyone is welcome to join in.

New track Sing as One will aim to raise vital funds for Rowans Hospice, and this charity effort follows the success of their first charity virtual recording which supported Age UK.

Josh said: ‘With lots of uncertainty during this time and cases on the rise, Encore Choirs have been unable to go back to in-person singing, where we get to hear the amazing sounds of people singing together.

‘Although our weekly online rehearsals each week are great fun, we are not able to hear one another. The virtual choir allows us to bring people together to hear one another and bring the music to life.’

The lyrics of the new song reflect on how music lifts people’s spirits and hearts, and brings people together.

Josh is hoping to make this performance bigger and better than the last, and raise as much money as possible for the charity.

The 24-year-old said: ‘All the words are from members of Encore Choirs itself to form a song about singing together and how music is powerful and speaks to us when words sometimes fail.

‘We wanted to support another charity and Rowans Hospice is 80 per cent funded by donations so they need the support to keep on going.’

Anyone is welcome to join in with recording their singing to be featured on the charity piece.
