Portsmouth Water will be carrying out water supply interruptions tonight in the Clanfield area

THE water supply for some residents will be interrupted overnight due to works by Portsmouth Water.

The company is undertaking water supply interruptions in the Clanfield area and are warning customers to avoid using appliances such as washing machines overnight.

A statement from Portsmouth Water said: ‘During the early hours of the morning on Friday, March 20, we will be carrying out a series of water supply interruptions in the Clanfield area. These will affect some properties in the PO8 area.

‘The supply interruptions will be undertaken between the hours of midnight and 4am to minimise the disruption to our customers. The interruptions will only be for a short duration within this period.

‘During this time we would recommend avoiding the use of any domestic appliances that require a water feed (such as washing machines), as you are likely to experience a temporary loss of water during this time.
