Prestige Telecom Group based in Heritage Way, Gosport, has been selling telecom to businesses across the UK since 2014.

Sales director and co-owner Andrew Rogers, 33, wants to change the stigma around call centre jobs and show that it can be fun working in a corporate job.

He said: ‘Call centres and sales jobs have a stigma around them and they have been tarnished. What we want to do, whether it’s a customer or an employee, is make them feel like they're not just a number on a seat, because each person does mean something to the business.’

The company acts as a consultancy for its clients, helping them find the best communications solutions to suit their business.

Andrew said that where other sales companies only reward their salespeople through commission, he wants to ensure that all departments are appreciated, from customer service to finances.

He said: ‘We are really unique and take a really unique approach and we like to do things for the whole office. Just recently we had a guy come down making fresh pizzas for everyone, we’ve done burger-making lessons on Zoom, we hired out a whole screen at the cinema and took everyone to Butlins.

‘We’ve got a chill-out space in the office, with a pool table, arcade machines, a Playstation, because it can be a really high-pressure environment so it means people can let off a bit of steam and recharge.’

‘It’s really important to us that as we grow the business we continue to develop our staff. We’ve got people committing to us so it would be crazy to not commit to them.’

The company’s commitment to its employees has been reflected in it being awarded the sixth ‘Best Small Company to work for in the UK’ by nationally recognised accreditors Best Companies. Andrew wants to highlight that any award is a team effort and a testament to the workforce.

He said: ‘Every single person whether it’s a customer of ours, an employee, a client, everyone has played a part in this and I know it’s a cliché but we would never have been able to get anywhere near that if it wasn’t for every single member of staff.’
