Red Nose Day: Pyjama day at Craneswater Junior School

Comic Relief kids wore onesies for Red nose Day.

Rolling straight out of bed and going to school - that’s what the students of Craneswater Junior School, in Southsea did today.

Each student gave £1 to wear their favourite pyjamas, onesies, or just your general comfies, all in aid of Comic Relief’s annual Red Nose Day.

Some of the pupils were even sponsored up to £60.

The schools student council organized a three-legged obstacle course to fit in with the days events, this included team-work, a strategically balanced tennis ball, and even a thirty second disco dance at the end.

With the students £1 pay in, and sponsors from friends, parents and relatives all together they raised up to £400 by the morning and said that number should be close to £2,000 by the end of the month.

In previous year’s the school has been awarded with being one of the best fund-raising schools in the country, and each year it aims to be even better.

At Craneswater the whole school got involved with the teachers and over 400 hundred students chipping in, even the teachers paid their pound and got to wear their dressing robes and slippers on this very comfortable day and of course all for a good cause.
